It’s about time the Duprees received some good news. Whatever kind of news it is…meaning I can’t share – at least Mama’s a little happier, although the ever observant Dixie knows something still isn’t quite right.

***If you noticed a blip this morning, blame lack of coffee! I was preparing the Sept 30th post, and instead of scheduling I pressed “Publish.” Whoops.***
What an enticing sentence, Donna! I love it! <3 <3 <3
Thank you Lilac! We’re on the short rows now! <3 <3 <3
Oh there ya go, pull the reader in and then leave ’em dangling all in the same sentence. That’s a nice little technique, especially to open a chapter. You could close the chapter with the inverse. Except, of course, you can’t. Because it’s already been written. And if you postpone publication to run though the LAST sentence of every chapter, I’m driving the Kensington offices and demanding an advance copy!
You are a hoot. It’s true about first and last sentences though. I could see a chapter ending with this one.
Know what’s hard to believe? Only six more weeks of these…I think I’ll sort of miss the First Sentence Friday’s.
You’ll miss them. But the rest of us won’t have to miss them, because we’ll finally get a chance to start filling in the rest of the sentences. Yesssssssssss!
