Song for THE FORGIVING KIND
I admit, I swoon every time I listen to the song for my book. Bruce Greenwood chose a particular scene from the story, and if you’ve read it, you know the significance of the water tower. His voice has that raspy quality I love, the lyrics are perfect and capture Sonny’s heart, and the tune is soulful. Every time I listen, I get the goosebumps.
Here is the link to the Working Title Farm site where the Trio 2019 collection is housed. As the site says, “It begins with a book.” The site is still under construction, with new material being added as it comes in, but my song is loaded up, as are some others. The artwork and songs not there will be added as singers and artists complete their projects.
Shari Smith, creator of Trio works hard to wrangle the Trio collections each year, but because of the intricacies of timelines, deadlines, and other commitments by the artists and singers, she’s at the mercy of their scheduling. Like magic, it always comes together, and there is a lot of pride and joy in being part of such a special effort.
Enjoy, and let me know what you think of the song for THE FORGIVING KIND in the comments!
