Early Buzz on THE ROAD TO BITTERSWEET

I thought I’d share with you some early “buzz” about my next novel, THE ROAD TO BITTERSWEET.  Yesterday I received an email from one of my publicists with great news the book has been selected as a Publisher’s Marketplace Buzz Book for the Fall/Winter 2017-2018 season!

For those who may not know about Publisher’s Marketplace, here is a small explanation in their own words describing their website:

Welcome to the biggest and best dedicated marketplace for publishing professionals built on the foundation of Publishers Lunch, read by 40,000 industry insiders and considered “publishing’s essential daily read.”

This is great early exposure for THE ROAD TO BITTERSWEET.  Publicity shared that this particular edition of Buzz Books “will feature approximately 30 of the biggest books of Sept 2017 – Feb 2018.  It will be released just in time for BEA.  The collection will be offered in print and digital formats at all of the major trade shows and Publishers Marketplace will distribute it to booksellers, librarians, media, etc.  It will also be promoted continuously through Publishers Marketplace, Netgalley and the trades.

Needless to say, I’m very, very happy!

Thank you, Beulah! Life is good, and I’m going – fast as I can! 😉

  1. That’s great news. Well done! It must be very satisfying to see your hard work paying off.

Hey, MA! It was very unexpected – b/c in my mind it’s early days yet (sort of) for the release of BITTERSWEET. But, yes, it’s very satisfying!

Hey AJ! (I still love that you have the name of one of my characters in DIXIE 🙂 ) It is exciting, and like I was telling MA above – so unexpected!

  2. I’m callin’ you Butter, Donna, cuz you are ON A ROLL!

Are you smiling when you wake up these days? Or does it start to fade after a few hours of sleep? Otherwise, it’s gonna be permanent, but I guess there’s worse things. Bottom line: Congrats, you deserve it all.

Ha! Make that buddah would you? 😉 But…thank you!

And, oh yeah, been smiling for days…my face hurts. I actually have MORE news now, which I’m trying to decide whether to do a blog post on because I already announced one thing on Facebook, and I don’t want to sound like a broken record tooting my own horn repeatedly. I think about stuff like that. “Geez, again Donna? Would you quit talking about yourself, already???” 😉
