The image that flashes in front of me is that of a skier (me) moving into position to descend a black diamond hill. For anyone that has ever snow skied, you know it’s exhilarating and scary at the same time.

Just ONE favorite book? Ugh. So many come to mind, but I’m going to pick The Orphan Collector, by Ellen Marie Wiseman because not only was it terrific historical fiction (like the rest of her books) but it was also so timely because of what the world is going through now.
I know – it is always SO hard! That’s a great choice though – and yes, the timing, impeccable. I remember reading something she wrote about that, and saying it was pure coincidence, but that is what is called a lightning strike moment in the pub world!
My favorite read of 2021 was The Crowns of Croswald by D.E. Night. This book series has the same whimsical thrill that bring me back to that child like wonder when I first discovered the Harry Potter series. The storyscape she developed was so detailed it was like watching a movie in my head whole I was reading. Just a fantastic series.
That is how it is when I’m writing – it plays like a movie in my head. BONUS – you’re the winner of this week’s ARC! Congrats! ????
