Oh my. As if there weren’t enough secrets Jessie is keeping, she has another, one that came about over the years, a habit resulting from confusion, dissatisfaction, and internal anger. As she grows older, vague memories of her mother’s death begin to permeate her thoughts. She starts quizzing her father over and over about what took place, but his responses to those questions are lacking, and eventually her persistence and his refusal to provide anything satisfactory leads to her emotional turmoil and confusion. Jessie discovers a way to cope, something her kindly, but blunt speaking school nurse calls a “monster.” It is a monster, one she tries to control, but sometimes, it gets the best of her.

Wow, this book sounds like a very good book! I love the cover and I especially Love the song that was written for it, it is Beautiful. Forgiveness, a very hard thing to do, but it needs to be done to attain Peace. I think forgiveness is harder as I get older. It probably should be easier. With age, I find people make decisions with no thought to others who are affected. Those types also never know they have caused anyone in their realm any hurt. I hope i can be The Forgiving Kind.
