GIVEAWAY! Win an Audio of THE MOONSHINER’S DAUGHTER!

I  love hearing about the various ways readers enjoy their books. Some read multiple stories at a time. They’ve just started one, are halfway through another, and almost to the end of a third. There are those who may set aside hard copies for sit down reading, and utilize their e-readers or audio books for when they’re running an errand, have an appointment that requires wait time, or are on a trip. I know some very “crafty” readers who listen to audio books while they’re quilting/crocheting/or doing other creative tasks.

With this in mind, I happen to have some audio codes to give out (the new way to get access to audio books!) for a free listen of THE MOONSHINER’S DAUGHTER. (Yay!)

For a chance to win, I have a question for you:

What kind of reader are you? Do you read multiple books at a time, or only one? Do you prefer reading over listening?

COMMENT HERE or out on social media (on my author page on Facebook).

I will pick THREE WINNERS to receive a code! If you win, I will send directions on how to use the code on your favorite device!

Winners will be randomly chosen and announced Monday morning, by 7:00 a.m. EDT.

Good luck!

  1. I definitely prefer hard copies of books when I read. Though I have a Kindle, I’ve found it uncomfortable to hold for a long time because of my arthritis. I have never tried audiobooks, but I would love to get started with this book. I have a distinct feel for Jessie’s “voice” in my head. I’d love to be able to compare it with the narrator’s voice.

    1. I read a couple books at a time. I leave one in the car, one in my bag and have one or two on the go at home. I prefer physical books but I have done ebooks and audio.

    2. I read any way I can get it.
Really loving audio at the moment.
But daily… I listen to a book, read in a physical book and an ebook. Depends on my mood, location, and availability of any of those three modes.
I sometimes have as many as 8 going, rarely less than 3.
I have been known to read one book & listen to another at the same time. Have only gotten confused once.. when stories were same genre, main character in each had the same name with a young daughter.

  2. I usually have several books going at time. I always have an audio book going for when I am doing tasks. I love my kindle as it gives me more flexibility but sometimes I need to feel a book in my hands.

    1. I prefer to read a hard copy book than a digital one, the turning of the pages, the smell of the book and the feel of it, although I started to read on the Kindle app when lockdown started back in March and continued to do so till now.
I’ve never listened to an audio book but I’m curious about it and would love to listen to yours.
I usually read one book at a time.

  3. A long time ago, I read a story about a person who had gone to a retreat in a monastery, and when she went to bed, realized that she had nothing to read. In a panic, she ran to the bathroom and grabbed the toothpaste tube to read in bed. That’s me. I love to read, and now it has become possible for me to read several books in several different formats. I read hard copy or ebooks in bed at night. And, ebooks while waiting for appointments or whatever.I listen to audiobooks at the gym, while cleaning, gardening, cooking and running errands in the car. (Reading in the car has always made me carsick.) So many options!!!

  4. I usually read one book at a time but I may also be listening to an audiobook while working around the house. I am fairly new to audiobooks and I like them but I still prefer reading!

  5. Hi Donna! Hope you are fine. I got to admit I love paperbacks, hard copy books the best. They can be signed. But I do realize space is eventually going to be a problem. I have a kindle that I read off of. I also have Audible on my cell phone. So I can go with the flow. Thank you for the giveaway and hope you consider me as a winner. ????

  6. I prefer to read a book…love the smell and feel!!! I have a kindle and Nook and they are great for travel and for appointments….fit in a bag or pocket!!! I normally read one at a time because I tend to rush then don’t enjoy them!!! I don’t do to much audiobooks…..it’s like listening to music….it relaxes me and I usually doze off!!!! My daughter loves them!!! ????????????????

  7. I love audiobooks!! But I do still read on my kindle and paper books as well! I usually have at least 3 books going at once????????‍♀️

  8. Hi! I just love to read! I read one book and listen to another book at the same time. I live in a very rural area so everywhere I need to go, I need to drive at least 20 minutes to start with so that makes it the perfect amount of time to listen to an audiobook. Each night a I can’t wait to fall into a book and escape this crazy world…especially as a teacher at this time!! Thanks for this great chance!!

  9. Mrs Brent Magers

I typically read one book at a time, but during Covid I have also started listening to Audiobooks.

  10. Donna,
I read both ways. I have quite an actual book library. I like holding a book while reading
I also listen to audio books. I do a lot of jigsaw puzzles and listen. I listen while I drive as well. Most places are no less than ten miles one way.

Thank you. Glad you are doing well.

  11. I like to read both ways. Right now, I am listening to more books than I am reading. I like listening to books because I can do other things and still enjoy a book. Usually I read one or two at a time. I will listen to one and read another one.. but they cannot be similar because I will get confused. As long as I can have a book close, I really don’t care which way I read it.
